One of the best Swiss players in history
Jacques Fatton was born on December 19, 1925 in Exincourt, France. He began his career at the age of 18, excellent and able to play left-winger or striker, he established himself as one of the best players in history. He won 4 Swiss championships and 1 Swiss Cup with Servette FC.
Between 1946 and 1955, he participated in 53 matches for Switzerland, he also made an impression during the 1950 World Cup, he had allowed his team to achieve a feat, drawing 2-2 against Brazil, the player scoring a double.
He also participated in the 1954 World Cup where he reached the quarter-finals, unfortunately beaten 7-5 by Austria. With a small frame (1m66), he became one of the leading figures in Swiss football. Humble and endearing, he had great charisma and was highly respected within Servette FC.
The best player in the history of Servette FC
After the 1954 World Cup, he joined Olympique Lyonnais where he established himself as one of the best players in the French championship. In 3 years spent in France, he played 98 matches and scored 43 goals. He formed a great team alongside Lerond, Mouynet and Mignot.
In 1957, he finally returned to his favorite club, Servette FC where he took the team to the top of the Swiss championship. His record with the Swiss team Servette FC is incredible, playing mainly as a left-winger, he scored 275 goals in 300 matches.
He finally retired in 1963, he was then 38 years old, and was one of the best players in the history of his country. Very good dribbler, his ability to score goals has written his legend.
