French, Attacking-midfielder, Striker, 1m75
A great hope for RC Lens
Bernard Lech was born on October 5, 1946 in Montigny-en-Gohelle in France. He joined RC Lens in 1964 and established himself in the starting team until 1968, the year the club was relegated to the second division. He then joined AS Nancy-Lorraine after 127 matches for his favorite club, whose matches he had seen when he was young.
Playing in the French second division at Nancy, he finished runner-up in the French second division in 1970 and helped his team reach the elite of French football, 3 years after the club obtained professional status.
A disappointing career despite great talent
A dribbler with a swaying style, he actively participated in keeping the Lorrains in the first division the following season with 7 goals in 31 matches. After 3 good seasons, he joined Stade de Reims where he found his brother. But he was going to be in the shadow of Delio Onnis and Carlos Bianchi during his time at this club.
He then joined SCO Angers in 1975 where he won the title of champion of the French second division. But the club immediately went down to the second division at the end of the following season. He then left for Paris FC, then to Amicale de Lucé where he ended his career in 1980 at the age of 34.
